Alex Wilson
From Green Building to Community Sustainability and Passive Survivability
Founder and president of BuildingGreen Inc. Alex Wilson will present pictures and remarks from his recent trip to Sweden, where he studied building technology and architecture, renewable energy systems, and other cutting-edge practices originating in Northern Europe.
Wilson has written about energy-efficient and environmentally responsible design and construction for more than 25 years. He is the Executive Editor of Environmental Building News and the author of several books, including Your Green Home (New Society Publishers, 2006) and Green Development: Integrating Ecology and Real Estate (John Wiley & Sons, 1998). Wilson also served on the board of directors of the U.S. Green Building Council for five years is currently a trustee of The Nature Conservancy - Vermont Chapter.
