GC Foundation Awards
Marlboro College Graduate Center is proud to serve the educational needs of working adults. Toward that end, the Graduate Center developed a curriculum and schedule that allows highly motivated students to complete their entire master's degree within 11 months.  At the same time, the center realizes that such an accelerated program brings exceptional demands to students pursuing this option - both academic and financial burdens. Students who exhibit this level of dedication demonstrate a desire and capacity to excel, and Marlboro College Graduate Center believes they should be rewarded. It is in that spirit that the GC Foundation Award has been created. This award provides a $1,000 reduction in tuition, which is applied to the third trimester bill.

To be eligible to receive a Foundation Award, a student must

    • Enroll at the Graduate Center as a full-time student in good academic standing, maintain satisfactory academic progress for three consecutive trimesters, and complete all graduation requirements for an MS or MA degree by the end of the third trimester.
    • Register for sufficient and appropriate credits in the third trimester so that by the end of that third trimester all the graduation requirements for a master's degree will be complete.
    • Apply in writing for the award prior to the start of the fall trimester, explaining how they will adapt their life have the support to be able to complete the strenuous program within a year.
    • Submit a timely Capstone proposal during the second trimester and secure a satisfactory sponsorship letter and the approval of the Director of Academic Programs before the start of the third trimester.
    • Maintain good financial standing with the college during the three trimesters, and have no outstanding balance on their student account at the start of the third trimester.
